Body & Soul Boot Camp: The Experience

1. I have never worked out before and/or I have injuries and/or I am extremely overweight. Can I still join the boot camp?

Absolutely! Body & Soul Boot Camp specializes in providing challenging workouts for people at any level and at the same time. A 60 year old with joint dysfunction can work side by side with a 20 year old athlete in the same group and both will be challenged at their own fitness level.

2. Will I experience muscle soreness?

Yes, the initial phase of adding Resistance Training into your exercise program will cause some muscle soreness. We provide Self Massage and Corrective Stretching Strategies before and after every session as well as a Body & Soul Portion Controlled Food Guide and our Rapid Fat Jump Start Starter Kit to help your body recover from intense workouts.

3. How soon will I see results?

Your results will vary on your commitment to your nutrition program, 80-90% of your success will be determined by your nutrition. Clients can feel great results in as short as 1 week and see visual changes in a few weeks. In order to see maximal results you will need to adhere to your nutritional program and attend all workouts.

4. Is there a nutrition program involved?

Yes, the number one most important component of any weight loss program is NUTRITION. Our goal is not to overwhelm, but rather to ease you into adopting healthier dietary habits for long-term success.  All trial members will receive a complimentary nutrition quick-start plan that will provide basic introductory nutrition guidelines to get the ball rolling in the right direction.  At the end of the tryout period, all new paying members will be eligible for our monthly grocery store tour (date TBA at the start of every new phase/Boot Camp) and also our 2 All-star nutrition plans: The Body & Soul Portion Controlled Food Guide, and also the Rapid Fat Loss Jump Start Diet. It is here where we will explain the tenets of sound nutrition for optimal health, performance, and body composition that will get you started on the right track towards a complete health and fitness transformation.  We also provide you with quick-start grocery checklists, and our full client handbook filled with information about home workouts, nutrition, stretching routines, how to measure results and so much more.  As a package, these items will help you burn body fat. You will also be given different options where we can provide more social support through phone consultations for those who feel they need the added accountability and support.

5. Isn’t cardio better for fat burning?

Cardio can be an important part of a fat loss program. Without the components of Nutrition and High Intensity Resistance Training you will not build lean muscle and thus turn your body into a fat burning machine. We provide every client with a metabolic boosting cardio program.

6. In the Boot Camp sessions will I get enough individual attention?

Yes, you will get all the motivation, guidance, instruction and support that you need. Every session has time at the end to handle individual Q & A. We are ALWAYS here to answer any questions or concerns about anything relating to our clients training, nutrition, or supplementation. Most one-on-one personal training sessions consist of the trainer and client just spending most of the time talking about their personal lives and the trainer wastes even more time counting reps.

7. Will you yell at us?

Not at all.  Yes you will here me being loud and intense but only in an encouraging, motivating and healthy manner. We don’t abuse, harass or degrade just positive reinforcement and and of course many good jokes and fun.  I am here to bring you to your personal best EVER. HANDS DOWN!

8. What is your refund policy?

If you notify us prior to the camp’s start date, you will receive a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. If it is after a camp has started, we can only credit you for a future boot camp of the same duration. The credit is non-transferable. There are NO EXCEPTIONS here.

9. What do I bring to camp?

We do provide equipment for campers. For your first session please bring towel, and water. For greater success and at home workouts on “off” days we ask that every camper make the one time investment in the Boot Camp Starter Kit to maximize the dynamic of your workouts. You can get the Boot Camp Starter Kit at a local Dicks Sporting Goods.  It consists of a 18 or 36 inch round foam roller, a pair of DB (woman:8-12, men:12-20), and a 41 in continuous resistance band, which can be purchased at Body & Soul Boot Camp.

10. What do I wear to the boot camps?

Wear comfortable, soft, breathable materials. Avoid anything too baggy, as it makes it difficult to properly analyze your posture and positioning during exercise. Wear sneakers with good support, laces (not Velcro) and soles that are low to the ground (no platform-like soles). Also we ask you to please BRING A CHANGE OF SNEAKERS to workout in; this will help us to provide you with a clean exercise facility.

11. What if I can’t make a workout?

We will provide you with a Rapid Fat Loss Starter Kit at the beginning of a new phase of camp. In this kit you will find easy to follow workouts you can complete in home with our online videos.

12. When are boot camp classes offered? What does each class consist of?

Body & Soul Boot Camp offers 1 hour long fat burning, metabolism skyrocketing workouts which include a daily nutrition lesson Monday - Saturday.  Below is a list of our current bootcamp offerings:

Monday - Friday: 5:30am, 8:30am, 10am, 5pm, 6:30pm

Saturday: 8am, 9:30am

Arrival Time: I will arrive on location and open the doors 15 minutes before the official start of the workout. Campers are expected to use this time to go through their own personal improvement routine. This is also time to discuss any questions, comments, or concerns with the on-site trainer before the start of the workout.

Please know that our main focus is keeping our campers safe and healthy. Thus, each class begins with a complete, state-of-the-art warm-up emphasizing mobility and activation to best prevent unwanted injury and to allow for a more effective workout. Thus, late arrivals will not be allowed to workout without a proper warm-up. Campers who are chronically tardy will be subject to membership suspension or termination on a case-by-case basis.

Departure Time: I will be available an extra 10-15 minutes following the completion of each training session to address any remaining personal questions or concerns.

Campers are also highly encouraged to use this time to perform their post-workout routine consisting of corrective stretching and self-massage to best prevent nagging aches and pains and reduce soreness between workouts. However, this program caters to busy professionals, and we do understand if you need to leave immediately at the end of each workout. In this case, campers are expected to perform their post-workout routines at another time for best results and to avoid injuries.  AGAIN ADDRESS THE CORRECTIVE MASSAGE FOAM ROLLER VIDEO ONLINE.

13. How does the 1-week free trial process work?

Body & Soul Boot Camps is an invite-only membership program. We use the 2-week tryout to assess if our program is the right long-term fit for each trial member.  We are truly looking for those who are ready to make a change, work hard and bring positive energy to the studio.  If you are in fact invited to join our exclusive program you will have the ability to choose from several membership options based on your current schedule and budget.

Tryouts are only offered within the first 2 weeks of each phase of boot camp out of fairness to current members.  All trial members must complete and submit an initial boot camp registration prior to the outlined registration deadline before each phase of boot camp.  This is Prior to the Saturday before the next camp. Please refer to the FREE 2 WEEK TRIAL INFORMATION<> for more details.

Lastly, all interested trial members must attend a mandatory initial boot camp orientation.  This orientation is meant to educate our trial campers on our arrival, personal improvement processes and answer any questions or concerns prior to the first workout of the new phase of camp. Please refer to the Camp Calendar for more details.  Cant wait to see you at Boot Camp!!

14. How do I get invited into the program?

During the one-week trial, we expect each trial member to attend ALL 3 available workouts. This shows us that you are serious about getting results. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis if provided with advanced notice of an impending scheduling conflict.

However, attendance alone does not guarantee an invite to our program. We want to see that you are having fun and are bringing positive energy to the group. Complainers and whiners are NOT welcome!

Bottom line- if you make as many workouts as you can, work hard, and bring a positive mental attitude, you will be in the perfect position to gain admittance to our program.

15. How much does the program cost?

Body & Soul Boot Camps is a monthly membership program. Campers are required to commit to either a 3, 6, or 12-month billing agreement at a membership level that best caters to their schedule, goals and budget as outlined below.
